Skywatch 2009!

I have never participated in Skywatch Friday before, but when I saw this beautiful evening sky, I knew I finally had an entry.

A few weeks ago I picked Rose up at the Indianapolis airport on her return from Phoenix where she visited her daughter and had the opportunity to visit some lovely places.

We stopped to get cup of coffee and something to eat and when we came out of the restaurant, we were treated to this lovely sunset. Both of us grabbed for our cameras!

She graciously let me take the pictures to use on my post. Thanks Rose!

Skywatch Fridays is brought to you by skyle.

I had forgotten about this, Beckie--it was such a gorgeous sunset that night, wasn't it? It was the perfect ending to my trip, having the chance to catch up on all the news with you before starting on the holiday rush. You got some great shots!

Those photos are indeed lovely. Isn't central Illinois on the way to St. Louis?! ;-) Maybe you've wanted to go to MOBOT yourself!! ??

Monica, St. Louis is about 3 hrs. from here-not too far for a day trip! Glad you enjoyed the sunset.

Tina, you are so right. An enjoyable time. And awesome is a perfect word!

Racquel, pink is not the first color that comes to mind when thinking of the sky-but it is beautiful when you do see it up there.

Carol, yes, we were at the new terminal-very nice! We talked about you being somewhere in Indy.

Beckie, your pictures were wonderful. I just love to watch the sun rise or set. I think it is such a special time of day and so often we miss it! So smart to have your cameras--I never can seem to remember to take mine with me.

OMG!!! What great pictures. I can't believe how pink the sky is. I bet it was amazing to see it in person.

Gail, thank you very much. My camera is small enough that I always carry it in my purse. I've been fortunate to get a few good ones that way.

MG, I'm usually not awake to see the sunrise-working 2nd shift. :} And the sunsets are blocked by the houses on my street, so when I do happen to see one, I thrilled.

Laurie and Chris, Rose and I were both in awe of the beauty of this sunset. And a special treat to be able to see it with a friend.

Joey, yes I do! :} Hope you are doing okay.

Marnie, thanks. I was feeling pretty proud of myself and then realized-I only took the pictures!

Wendy, I was in awe of the colors. Rose and I manage to spend quality time together (translation-talking gardening and blogging :})only not as often as we would like.
